Objectives of the Department:
The Neurosurgery Department is a center of excellence dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system. Under the expert guidance of Senior Registrar Dr. Subhan Shahid and Medical Officer Dr. Faizan Malik, the department handles a wide range of complex neurosurgical cases. These include:
- Brain tumors (gliomas, meningiomas, and metastatic lesions)
- Spinal disorders (disc herniation, spinal stenosis, and traumatic injuries)
- Neurovascular conditions (aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and strokes)
- Pediatric neurosurgery (congenital anomalies such as spina bifida and hydrocephalus)
- Traumatic brain injuries and emergency neurosurgical interventions
